Glastonbury Festival 2013

Campo Pequeno

In the heart of The Common stands the Campo Pequeno. A towering medieval amphitheatre like no other, set amidst a dazzling Latino landscape.  Hosted by Bearded Kitten and home to some of the biggest headline acts this side of Glastonbury, discover a fuse of Hispanic mayhem and astonishing performance spectacles.

A giant fire breathing bull’s head calls spectators into the most extraordinary venue of Glastonbury 2011. Enter beneath the chapel where matadors once prayed for protection into a vast ampitheatre. By day find an eclectic mix of Latin inspired performances, bearded kitten games, and going into 6AM expect to see breath taking shows and a heaving dance floor.

Expect the unexpected, from the madness of Mexican wrestling to Giant Pinattas and The Common’s very own ‘La Tomatina’.

Cast aside your inhibitions let the Latino spirit boil your blood and enter a place where man and bull are equal.

A note from Michael Eavis

At the time of the very first interview about Campo Pequeno, several months ago, I failed to realise that the idea of a mock bull fight was going to be offensive, and so I cancelled it.

We would like to state very clearly that Glastonbury Festival does NOT condone bullfighting - we are OPPOSED to bullfighting. Our reputation of 41 years speaks volumes about respect and sanctity of all life on this planet.
