Hi and welcome once again to the min film festival, within a festival – The Pilton Palais film tent at Glastonbury. We are again located at the southern end (bottom) of the Acoustic Field.

This year we are pleased to be able present no fewer than three advance preview screenings which don’t get officially released until the end of July or later. We also bring you in the form of a full supporting program an interesting selection of Short films courtesy of Future Shorts. And also a First look at a couple of independent new Short Films.

A first for this year is that all films are DCP’s (Digital Cinema Packages’s) which is rapidly becoming the standard format for commercial cinemas, and have more than four times the resolution of DVDs. This also enables us to show 3D and we have six of the most popular 3D titles from the last 12 months plus a hugely anticipated surprise 3D film on Sunday. The sound system is also set up for Dolby 7.1 channel sound. The 35mm projectors that we used over the years have been officially retired.

In the event we have another hot one this year we have improved on the latent heat evaporative air conditioning system which will installed in the marquee.
